Google Street?

My header image shows a Google street sign. It’s real, but we don’t have a Google Street–it designates the driveway at Huff and Charleston as Google HQ to help people navigate, I suppose.

It’s not reflected in this StreetView image, but it’s roughly at the corner:

Update: Since I wrote this post, the lamppost has appeared, but without the signage. :)

When most companies get their own street, they just take the coveted “1″ for the address number. 1 Infinite Loop, etc.

I think Google can be more creative:
    10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Google St.

    Catchy, eh?

Of course suggestions like that might explain exactly why we didn’t get our own street. :)

Ouch, the trees that would be needed for the XLarge envelopes! :(

Looks like you can now see the Google Sign on Street View. Or, if you prefer, Gogle.

Also, you are way overdue for a new blog post.
